Ashworth Awards Announces the Launch of the Ashworth Awards Race Team

Ashworth Awards, the premier medallion and award manufacturer in the endurance sports industry, announces the launch of its new Ashworth Awards Race Team.  Dan and Kim Ashworth, owners of Ashworth Awards, have a firm belief that an active lifestyle is important to an individual’s long-term health and wellness. In the fall of 2012, Ashworth Awards opened its employee gym/fitness center at their facility in North Attleboro, MA to support and promote this healthy lifestyle for their employees.   Many competitive age group athletes from the North Attleboro area began to train in the gym and coordinate organized rides and run workouts. It became apparent that there was a definite lack of a serious age group race/triathlon team in the area of the Ashworth Awards home office.  

With these factors considered, Kim and Dan decided they wanted to create such a race team to support the competitive athletes in their area and nationwide.  Anyone who has trained and raced in endurance sports is aware that the long training hours can be both challenging and rewarding at the same time.  To become a better athlete you need to challenge yourself and push beyond your perceived limits.  Sharing this training time with others that have similar goals makes those long training hours even more enjoyable.  The Ashworth Awards race team has been formed to support this same quality training and racing.  The soft launch was made at the beginning of November 2013 and the team already has 40 members.

Many nationwide companies have begun their sponsorship of the race team, ranging from Russo Racing coaching services to Aquaman wetsuits and a partnership with Endurance Nation triathlon team and DB Sports athletic footwear specialists.
