Poll: Do We Do Enough to Recognize Our Veterans?

Friday is a day to recognize all of America's service men and women.

Friday is the day for honoring veterans of the Unites States of America's armed forces. For millions of Americans, however, it's another holiday on the calendar — a day off from school, a day out of work, a three-day weekend.

In towns and cities across America, grizzled veterans, Boy Scouts, politicians and a handful of others will attend small, quiet services.

Is that enough? Do Americans do enough to recognize the nation's service men and women?

I see my comments were "removed" by someone when I responded to "Trudy's" comments. As she stated, so much for free speech. She is dead wrong........

I agree and will do so in the future. Thanks.....

Thanks Tim. I'm really proud of our servicemen and women. They conduct themselves with true humanity all over the world, whether fighting or aiding a population stricken by natural or other disasters. At great sacrifice to themselves and their families. We owe you more than we can ever repay.

Comments sometimes are removed by unscrupulous flagging. I have, on occasion, removed flags from comments that were flagged inappropriately.
