Finally Friday: Bike Tours, Steampunk, Calendar And Stories

The weekend is nigh - here are some things to know.

 

Another weekend is upon us - check  out these things to know, and get ready to enjoy it.

Bike tours - On Saturday, swing by the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council at 9 a.m. for a four-hour bicycle tour of the valley. Pedal through four Blackstone Valley communities and talk about the history, culture, manufacturing and little known facts and stories while riding through charming back streets. Call 401-724-2200 for details and the meetup location. Cost is $20.

Steampunk - Visit Stage Right Studio between 6 and 9 p.m. for the Thunder and Steam exhibit. The event features work from six artists, living statues, sidewalk chalk art, Staff and art from the web comic "Sky Pirates of Valendor" with members of the steampunk costume group Dark Dishonour and teacher Jason Robert LeClair, author of the steampunk novel,  "Broken Silences."

Stories - Check out the Kaleidoscope Kids Story Hour at River Bend Farm in Uxbridge today at 10:30 a.m. Ages 3-5, sibling welcome. Every Friday there will be a different nature themed story, walk and craft. Join the group at the Visitor Center for a morning program designed to connect young children and their guardians with the environment. Drop in attendance welcome.
