Tuesday Five: Kids Kamp, Farmer's Market Open, Give Blood
Stadium Kids Kamp - Week two of Stadium Theatre Performing Arts Centre's Kids Kamp Session I has begun You can still register your kid for Sessions II & III.
Farmer's Market opens Today - The Woonsocket Farmers Market is open every Tuesday from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. at Thundermist Health Center - starting July 9. Swing by and check out the fresh food and items for sale. The market is held every Tuesday through Oct. 30 from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. For more information, visit their website.
Give blood - From the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce: For hundreds of people hospitalized in our community, blood donors represent hope. With July 4 falling on a Thursday this year, blood collections are challenged. "We’re urging people to consider making a blood donation just before or after July 4 to assure that there is a safe and adequate blood supply on hand for those who rely upon it. Visit www.ribc.org to find a blood drive or donor center near you.
Movies in the Park - Movies in the Parks returns Friday Nights in July, starting with The Goonies July 12 at River Island Park at dusk. Woonsocket Parks & Recreation is offering FREE Shuttle Service
to the movies and back for residents of Kennedy Manor, Crepeau Court, St. Germain and Park View. Drop-off service will also be provided to residents of Hanora Lippett assisted living, who usually walk to the event.
River Island Park Pick up times:
Crepeau Court - 7 p.m.
Kennedy Manor - 7:10 p.m.
Park View - 7:20 p.m.
St. Germain - 7:30 p.m.
Summer School - The Connecting for Children & Families 8th Grade Transition Program is still enrolling 8th graders in need of summer school. The program will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning Monday July 8 and concluding on Friday Aug. 16 at the Woonsocket Middle School. The cost is only $75 and payment plans can be can be arranged.
