Tuesday Five: Farmer's Market, Health Fair, Poetry, Movies Friday

Farmer's Market open - The Woonsocket Farmers Market is open every Tuesday from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. at Thundermist Health Center - starting July 9. Swing by and check out the fresh food and items for sale. The market is held every Tuesday through Oct. 30 from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. For more information, visit their website.

Health Fair Today
 On Tuesday, July 23, Thundermist will host a Community Health Fair. The fair will be free and open to the public. It'll be held on the first floor of 450 Clinton St., Woonsocket and run from 3:30 – 6 p.m., in conjunction with the Farmers’ Market (which is set up in the parking lot near Bank of America and Subway).

Come get free health screenings, such as blood pressure readings, BMI calc...ulations, immunization screenings, skin care screenings, spirometry testing, hearing tests, and more.

Redevelopment Tuesday - The city's Redevelopment Agency meets this Tuesday, July 23, 8 a.m., at City Hall, 169 Main St., in the second floor conference room. They'll discusschanges to the comprehensive plan and Redevelopment Agency Designation legislation.

Poetry Workshop Don't forget to show up at Woonsocket Harris Public Library today from 11 a.m. - noon for Christopher Johnson's poetry workshop for ages 10 and older. Free tickets are still available ask the Teen Desk at 769-4132.

Movies in the Park - Movies in the Parks returns Friday Nights in July, starting with The Goonies July 12 at River Island Park at dusk. Woonsocket Parks & Recreation is offering FREE Shuttle Service 
to the movies and back for residents of  Kennedy Manor, Crepeau Court, St. Germain and Park View. Drop-off service will also be provided to residents of Hanora Lippett assisted living, who usually walk to the event. 
 
River Island Park Pick up times: 
Crepeau Court -  7 p.m.
Kennedy Manor - 7:10 p.m.
Park View - 7:20 p.m.
St. Germain - 7:30 p.m.
