PHOTOS: King Jace Unmasked At Mardi Gras

More than 300 showed up for the annual celebration.

Mardi Gras drew more than 300 people to the The Elks Lodge, and St. Ann Arts and Cultural Center Saturday night, where the mystery man, King Jace XIX, was revealed.
At about 8:30 p.m., Mardi Gras Queen Sandy Paul unmasked the mystery man, revealing none other than John Gregory, president of the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce.

By tradition, King Jace XIX's identity remained a secret until the night of the event. Dave Richards of WOON radio, who sponsored the contest, invited the public to guess who is portraying the king, providing clues throughout the preparations for the party.
