The DVIDS (Defense Video Imagery Distribution System), which connects   the media around the world with the military serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain, has released 5,944 video holiday greetings from soldiers abroad this year. The base was the target of a Taliban attack Dec. 2 that killed four Afghan soldiers, according to the BBC. The attached video was recorded Dec. 9.

Lozeau, whose unit is based at Fort Campbell, KY, wished his wife and parents happy holidays from shaded spot on the base in the video. "I love you all," Lozeau said.
