Hundreds Turned Out For Annual Easter Egg Hunt

City of Woonsocket continues annual holiday tradition.

For over 30 years, hundreds have attended the annual Easter Egg Hunt at , and this year was no exception. Upon arrival, lucky children were were able to spend some time with the Easter Bunny himself before being directed to one of 3 age-specific playing fields.

At 1 p.m., over 300 children, baskets in hand, raced across the fields in search of loose candy and  filled plastic eggs.  Children could be seen among a sea of colored eggs searching for a few very special wooden and golden eggs that could later be redeemed for prizes.

As in years past, generous sponsors provided dozens of prizes, including a bicycle to be raffled off after the hunt. Children waited anxiously on the bleachers with tickets in hand, while radio personality Dave Richards called the lucky numbers.
