Stop & Shop Teams Up with Pawtucket Red Sox to Inspire Healthy Habits at “Healthy Kids Summit”

On Monday, August 19th, Stop & Shop is hosting its fourth “Healthy Kids Summit,” which aims to educate families on important nutrition and exercise information to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Joining Stop & Shop and the Pawtucket Red Sox at McCoy Stadium are local community leaders and health experts, along with a special appearance by PawSox infielder Tony Thomas.

The event will be comprised of a brief panel discussion and a trivia game to showcase the audience members’ newfound knowledge of the importance of nutrition, exercise and a balanced lifestyle. Following trivia, participants will get a tour of the field and will compete in an obstacle course organized by the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket. There will also be a health fair including resources and information to help empower local families to make healthy choices.

All members of the community, including families, camps, caregivers, and community organizations including are encouraged to register and attend the free event.
