kelley Lennon Headlines Sunday Music

            CUMBERLAND—Local singer Kelley Lennon will be closing out the CumberlandFest event with a performance on the main stage Sunday night beginning at 6 p.m.

 

            Lennon has appeared around the region and has several CDs out, including two Christmas CDs and a religious CD. The opening act is Accordion player Corey Persaturo, who has toured the world with amazing style of playing.

Among her many accomplishments, Lennon has appeared as a contestant on CBS’ Star Search, won first place in the Female Vocalist Category on Ed McMahon’s Next Big Star, and was Featured vocalist at the NY International Music Festival at Madison Square Garden. She has performed the National Anthem for numerous events, including: the Boston Red Sox, The Boston Celtics, and the Rhode Island Air Show.

Persaturo is an accomplished accordion player, having played at the White House on four different occasions. He has earned the awards as World Acoustic Accordion Champion, World Digital Accordion Champion and Jazz Accordion Champion. He is the only person to ever accomplish that feat.

 

Sunday’s events also include the annual Car Show from 9 a.m. to 3 pm., Bingo, rides, the midway and food Court. Ride bracelets will be available for $20 and allows people to ride as much as they want for four hours (12-4 or 4-8)

Parking is free; admission into the grounds is $5 for adults, $1 for children ages 3-12 and free for less than 3 years old.
