FRCA & NRICS Merge to Form Community Care Alliance

The new Board of Directors of Community Care Alliance has its first meeting on July 1st after the merger of Family Resources Community Action (FRCA) and NRI Community Services (NRICS) that created the new organization. William M. Ryan, Esq. was elected Board Chair, Nancy L. Benoit is the Vice Chair, Dr. Julien Ayotte is the Treasurer and Roland Boucher will serve as the Secretary. Benedict F. Lessing, Jr., MSW, former Executive Director of FRCA, is the President/CEO of Community Care Alliance effective July 1, 2014. Chris Stephens, MS, who retired after over 30 years as President/CEO of NRICS, is the new CEO of Horizon Healthcare Partners.

 

Community Care Alliance will build on the array of services provided by FRCA and NRICS to strengthen families, individuals and the broader community. The agency will offer more than 60 programs including emergency and supported housing, basic needs support, counseling, employment & workforce development, financial stability, child welfare, peer support, youth services, education support, programs for families with young children, and other services to help people overcome challenges and build better lives. The organization will remain a Community Action Agency and Community Mental Health Center.
