‘Daycare at Dayspring” Growing By Leaps and Bounds

A growing daycare program has attracted considerable attention and praise during the past two years at Dayspring Christian Academy of Attleboro, Mass.

“Daycare at Dayspring,” an expanded version of the school’s long-time preschool program, now encompasses infants and toddlers as well as preschool-aged and Pre-Kindergarten-aged children. The daycare program is based at the school located on Route 1A which also services boys and girls in Kindergarten through Grade 8.

Darlene DeCastro, DCA’s admissions director, said “Daycare at Dayspring” is a multi-faceted program.

“We believe we offer so much more than an average daycare,” said DeCastro. “Our programs are tailored to the specific developmental needs of each group and our caring Christian staff provides experiences that foster and engage children in active learning.”

DeCastro said “Daycare at Dayspring” is designed as both a learning and play-based program, with special emphasis placed on individual development.

“We provide a balance between structured routines and activities that encourage individual choice and expression,” DeCastro said. “Our goal is to provide a caring extension of a child’s home and family life.”

Children enrolled in “Daycare at Dayspring” are closely supervised at all times by experienced and certified personnel and are housed in facilities which have been largely modified during the past two years. There are no residency requirements for enrollees, who are also not required to have had prior affiliations with DCA and are not mandated to attend the school in future years.

While “Daycare at Dayspring” has rapidly progressed during the past two years, openings are still available. Further information is obtainable by contacting DeCastro at 508-761-5552, x1101, or by accessing DCA’s Web site at www.dayspringag.org.
