Spookfest, Bake Sale, Globe Needs Gadgets, Mayoral Debate Tonight

Spookfest - Join Bernon Heights PTO for their 4th Annual Spookfest, a fun-filled night for children in grades K-5 featuring: Games, Arts and Crafts, Pumpkin Painting, Food, Drinks and Treats and a Spooky Trail – if you dare.

Admission is $3 for children, $5 for adults. Wear your Bernon Heights t-shirt or sweatshirt and save $1 on admission. This event is open to the public - children must be accompanied by an adult. 

Spookfest kicks off the school's Fall Food Drive! Bring a canned good for a family in need.

Leo Savoie Vendor Faire/Bake Sale - Enjoy a day of shopping with local crafters and artisans at Leo A.Savoie School Gymnasium 990 Mendon Road Saturday, Oct. 19, 10 a.m. The event features face painting, raffles, bake sale and more. Admission is free. 

Globe seeks old electronics- Globe Park School reports on their facebook page they're not allowed to purchase color ink for their printers with School Department funds. Since printing in black and white still color cartridges, the school is asking people to donate used small electronics, cell phones, handheld games, and especially used printer cartridges. They'll be recycled to raise funds for these color cartridges.

Trash Pickup Delay -  Due to the short Columbus Day holiday week, trash and recycling collection is delayed by one day for the week. 


Candidates Forums - 
Mywoonsocket.com has posted a schedule of candidates forums.  
The Black Initiatives Group (B.I.G.), a community group in Woonsocket, has planned a forum for the Mayoral (Friday, October 18) debate, 7 p.m. at St. James Baptist Church, 340 South Main St., Woonsocket.  

The forum is open to the public. B.I.G. asks voters to send all questions they would like to hear the candidates answer, to this email address, blackinitiativesgroup@gmail.com.
