Be a Page - The Woonsocket Harris Public Library currently has three Library Page positions open for local teens. This is a part-time position. Duties include sorting and shelving library materials. Must be at least 14. Three positions are available. Hours include after school, evenings and weekends. An open exam will be held Tuesday, August 20, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. For more information, contact Assistant Library Director Kim Shipala at 767-4126.

Dunkin jobs - 
Dunkin Donuts is hosting a job fair Aug. 21 at 10 a.m. at  31 Main St. in Milford, MA. They're hiring for stores in Natick, Ashland, Sherborn, Framingham, Hopkinton, Holliston & Milford.  

Don't Toss Your Trash Yet:
 In observance of Victory Day, curbside pick-up of trash and recycling for the week of Aug. 12 to 16 will be delayed by one day. Call the Solid Waste Division at (401) 767-8880 if you have any questions.

Craft Class at Library - Make free crafts on Fridays, 1-2 p.m. at Woonsocket Harris Public Library. This program is great for kids aged 10 & up. Aug. 16, 22, 23. A different craft each day may include duct tape arts, beading, bracelet making and more. contact Teen Desk at 767-4132

  • Aug. 20: Jazz Up Woonsocket at Chan's (Chinese food and jazz music)
  • Aug. 22: Social Ocean Luau at Christopher's Restaurant (Outdoor pig roast and island party)
