Geek Week - Nov. 4-9 is Geek the Library week at the Woonsocket Library. They'll host a dollar-a-bag book sale in the Children's program room with many adult books, hardcover and paperback fiction and non-fiction. They'll have kids and teens books, too. Bring in a supermarket sized bag and fill it up for just a dollar. Proceeds go to the Friends of the Library to support many of the programs you enjoy here at this library.
There is a lot going on for Geek Week. Tell us what you enjoy on the Geek Wall. Members of Live & Learn will display some of their favorite things to do. Kids Klub will have a display in the children's room of what they enjoy. What do you Geek at the library? How does the library feed your passions (aka Geek).
Candy trade - Speaking of Halloween - Donate your Halloween Candy to any Children’s Workshop locations, and receive a free children's book! All of the candy that they collect will be shipped to the troops serving overseas via Operation Gratitude.
You must bring in at least 30 pieces of candy to swap for a book. Of course, we appreciate the donation, even if you don't want a book. They have a location at 25 Blackstone Valley Place Lincoln, RI.
