School Com, Main Street and Mayoral Forum Wednesday

School Committee - The Woonsocket School Committee meets Wednesday, 7 p.m. at 60 Florence Dr. They've got a light agenda, including a finance update, a vote to extend a legal counsel contract and a vote on the Family Medical Leave Act Policy.

Main Street Committee Wednesday - The Main Street Livability Plan Steering Committee meets Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 6 p.m. They'll review progress on the plan to revitalize Main Street, including: Design Guidelines, Wayfinding & Parking Signage, Activation of Public Spaces and Beautification.

Holy Family Church Bazaar - Holy Family Church, 414 South Main St., hosts their annual bazaar Aug. 26, 9 a.m. Lunch and dinner will be served. Baked goods include homemade breads, pies, pastries and gluten free desserts. The bazaar also offers all-natural jams, jelly, relishes and local honey. There will also be a 50 Gift certificate raffle, 50 Basket raffles and large raffles including a $100 Stop & Shop gift certificate, Patriots jacket, money shirt, Beer Basket to name  a few.  Don't miss the Jewelry table and games for kids.

Candidates Forums - Mywoonsocket.com has posted a schedule of candidates forums. The next one, a mayoral forum, is on Oct. 23, broadcast on 1380 WNRI's Upfront Show at 8 a.m. 

Globe seeks old electronics- Globe Park School reports on their facebook page they're not allowed to purchase color ink for their printers with School Department funds. Since printing in black and white still color cartridges, the school is asking people to donate used small electronics, cell phones, handheld games, and especially used printer cartridges. They'll be recycled to raise funds for these color cartridges.
