Schutte at Mount Friday - The 2013-14 school year marks Mount Saint Charles Academy’s 90th anniversary of ministry. In the inaugural event of the year-long celebration, Mount welcomes Dan Schutte in concert in Mount’s Chapel Hall, Friday, Sept. 13, at 7:30 p.m.  Schutte ‘s performance marks the beginning of the Academy’s  first ever Performing Arts Series, established to not only celebrate Mount’s 90th anniversary, but to promote the arts in northern Rhode Island by featuring prominent artists who will perform and collaborate with  MSC students as well as local school and community performers throughout the year.

Schutte is a distinguished composer of such unforgettable liturgical pieces as “Here I Am, Lord”, “City of God”, and “Sing a New Song.” Schutte’s work continues to be part of the standard repertoire for Christian worship worldwide.
