Health Insurance help today - This week, all Thundermist locations will be holding walk-in sessions for individuals interested in obtaining free or low-cost health insurance. Mayoral Forum Wednesday - On Oct. 30, Leo Fontaine and Lisa Baldelli-Hunt will appear on WNRI from 8 am to 9 am. Questions posed to the candidates will come from e-mails and submitted hand written questions:

Candidates have also agreed to answer questions posed by moderator, Roger Bouchard, which he prepared for the Woonsocket Call debate, but were not asked due to time constraints.
Halloween - If you've got kids, or have stopped in at any retail outlet during the last several weeks, you likely know Thursday is All's Hallowed Eve. Please keep an eye out for kids Thursday night, keep yours visible to and wary of motorists, and check out a few other safety tips.
Adopt-A-Family Signups - Application sessions are held at Family Resources Community Action, 55 Main St., Tuesdays from 2:30-4:30 pm, Wednesdays from 9:30-11:30 am, and Thursdays from 4-7 pm.
Low-income families with children born between Jan. 1, 2001 and time of application who live in Woonsocket are invited to apply. Applications are not accepted from families living outside of Woonsocket.
Copies of applications are available at FRCA’s reception desk at 245 Main Street or at 55 Main Street. The application period for the Adopt-A-Family program ends Nov. 15. Late applications cannot be accepted.
