Blood Drive, Primary, City Council Today

Blood drive - There's a blood drive today at Globe Park School, 2:30-5:30 p.m. in the library, 108 High St.

Primary Tuesday -The special election brewing to fill the Dist. 49 seat vacated by new Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt will pit three candidates against each other in the Jan. 21 primary tomorrow.

Trash delay - Due to the short holiday week, On Monday Jan. 20 in the observance of Martin Luther King Day; rubbish and recycling pick-up for the week of January 20 to January 24 will be delayed by one day. Please DO NOT place plastic bags in the recycle carts. Those bags can be returned to many big-box retailers or to the Woonsocket Recycle Facility (943 River Street) for proper recycling. 

Extra recycling may also be brought to the Woonsocket Recycle Facility located at 943 River St. 

City Council Tuesday - The Woonsocket City Council meets tonight, 7 p.m. at Harris Hall in City Hall. Among the items on their agenda (see attached .pdf), they'll get a report from the Director of Public Works on water main acceptance on Woonsocket Hill Road in North Smithfield. They'll also vote on appointing Denneese Seale to the Board of Assessment Review.
