Biz Night, Homeless Plight, Trees Thrown Right

Biz After Hours - CCF is hosting the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce "Business After Hours" event on Jan. 15 from 5-7 p.m. at their offices (46 Hope St., Woonsocket).

Donate for the homeless
- To continue Martin Luther King's work for economic justice, Youth RAP at NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley will be distributing basic need items to the homeless in Woonsocket on MLK Day Monday, Jan. 20. You can donate items at 719 Front St, Suite 103. Call 401-762-0993.

Trash Schedule delay -
Since Fridays route would have been Thursdays collection due to the New Year holiday, the cancelation will push collection back another day:

  • Monday Jan 6 through Friday Jan 10 will be delayed by one day. (The delay next week will also be for Bulk Item collection.)
Bring out yer' trees... The City of Woonsocket's Public Services Division will be picking up discarded Christmas Trees  through Friday, Jan. 17.

Take off the decorations before you set them at the curb.
