The Youth Initiative Project (YIP) is a core aspect of NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley’s youth programming. The Project encourages Woonsocket high school students to be engaged in their communities and develop leadership skills through student-led service projects. YIP participants plan and implement projects of their own design to benefit the community, as well as mentor younger students in their neighborhoods.
YIP will hold a fundraiser carwash on Saturday, June 30 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church at 1409 Park Avenue in Woonsocket. All proceeds of the carwash will benefit YIP’s service-learning projects over the upcoming months.

More About Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Rectory
Our Lady Queen of Martyrs is a Catholic Church on Park Avenue. The church holds daily Mass at 7 a.m. and also holds weekend services on Saturday and Sunday. Religious education and youth ministry programs are offered to parishioners, and weekly bingo is held Thursday evenings at 6 p.m.
