Woonsocket Schools Cancel Friday Classes in Advance Of Storm
Several schools made the call to cancel mid-afternoon.
With a winter storm on its way and the city under a Blizzard Watch, several school cancelations are already being issued for tomorrow:
- Woonsocket Public Schools are closed Friday, no activities.
- Woonsocket Head Start and Day Care - all centers closed Friday.
- Beacon Charter High School closed Friday
- Mount St. Charles Closed Friday
Snow will begin Friday morning, possibly mixing with rain in the afternoon, before returning Friday night to heavy, wet snow that could fall at a rate of up to 3 inches an hour, according to the National Weather Service.
