Woonsocket Make-A-Wish Children Meet U.S. Navy Blue Angels Pilots

Three children from the city were granted a private audience with the Blue Angels.

Make-A-Wish may already have granted three children from Woonsocket their wishes for trips to Disney World, but that didn't mean the kids would have to miss the Rhode Island Air Show last week.

Zachary Grenon,7, Erin Dube,9, and CJ Sok, 9, all from Woonsocket met pilots from the famous U.S. Navy Blue Angels during a private reception at the air show. Each child had their picture taken and received autographs from the pilots.

The kids were part of a larger group of 20 granted wishes by Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The organization grants wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. While the kids clearly enjoyed this amazing opportunity coordinated with the pilots after the show, the exciting meet and greet was not their wish. The event was designed specifically for kids who already had their wishes granted.
