Social Park drew a big crowd Tuesday night for the city's Fourth of July celebration, including the presentation of the colors from the United Veterans Council of Woonsocket Color Guard, music by Swing City, and finally, pyrotechnics by Atlas Fireworks.

The field in front of the stage was filled with people sitting on blankets and folding chairs, and a few dancing adults and children. The ceremony and music put smiles on faces in the crowd, but the fireworks got loud cheers and applause.

Mayor Fontaine led a terrific evening joining the nice crowd for a great night of social interaction, music and fireworks. This event turned out wonderfully and gave everyone a breather from everything that has been going on in the city recently.
