Thursday Five: Commission, Blood Drive, Memorial Committee

Welcome to Thursday - here are some things to know:

 

 

Budget Commission - The board meets today at 3 p.m. at City Hall, in Harris Hall, to discuss public records request proceedures, the 5-year budget forecast and wastewater consulting services.

Blood drive - The RI Blood Center is hosting a blood drive at Citizens' Memorial Elementary School in the gym at 3 p.m. You can also call the Rhode Island Blood Center at 1-800-283-8385 or visit www.ribc.org to confirm a blood drive or to make an appointment.t

War memorial Committee - The War Memorial Committee will meet tonight at 5 p.m. at St. Joseph's Veterans, 99 Louise St. The meeting is open ot the public.

Calendar - If you've got an event you want to share with the many readers of the Woonsocket Patch, you can be your own best advocate - post it yourself to the Woonsocket Patch calendar. Fill in the blanks with your event's information, and you're good to go.

Register to vote - Oct. 7 is the deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 6 election, and Oct. 16 is the deadline to request a mail-in ballot. This election season voters will also be required to show a voter ID.
