Today, Tammy Koller’s 10^th grade US History students will come to life as they portray famous people in American History during Mount’s 6^th Annual “Night at the Wax Museum.” This event will take place from 5p.m. - 7p.m. in Mount Saint Charles Academy’s Chapel Hall.

Koller, said, “This event is huge! All of my students have to pick a person who had importance in United States history. They can choose people starting from colonization up until 1877. It’s 3 months of work, research, and practice.”

The students can pick who they want and have to conduct comprehensive research on their historical figure throughout the first quarter of school. The culmination of their research is during the Wax Museum event that happens at the beginning of the second quarter. 

All of the students dress in the period clothes and speak with the accent of the person they have researched. They are to remain perfectly still until a Wax Museum guest pushes a button on each student’s display to learn more. When the button is pushed, each student will come to life as their historical figure. They have a speech memorized describing their person’s life and contribution to US history. In addition, they have a backboard display set up with more facts and information they have gathered about their historical figure.

From civil war spies to presidents and inventors, 100 MSC students will be on display for this annual event tomorrow evening.
