Police Log: Man Arrested After Domestic Assault, Vandalism
The following arrest information was provided by the Woonsocket Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Marley Davies-Calhoun, 22, of 17 Miller Lane, apt. 2nd, turned himself in at Woonsocket Police Headquarters, 242 Clinton St., Jan. 22, a day after attacking his girlfriend and attempting to break into the apartment she was staying in.
On Jan. 21, officers responded to the home the woman was staying at with their children at about 8:30 p.m. for a vandalism complaint.
The woman said Davies-Calhoun visited her and attempted to get her to return with him as they talked in a bedroom with their children present, according to Officer Gregory Klocek's report. When she refused, he grabbed her by the throat and pushed her against a wall. The woman said she agreed to leave with him, and he relented, walking to the apartment's front door and outside.
Once Davies-Calhoun was outside the apartment, another woman present locked the door behind him, Klocek reported.
When the woman went to her bedroom to check on her children, Davies-Calhoun smashed the window in the room with his fist and attempted to climb through, she said, according to the report. A woman in the apartment called the police, and Davies-Calhoun fled.
Police issued a warrant for Davies-Calhoun's arrest on charges of domestic assault and battery, domestic disorderly conduct and vandalism.
