Landmark spokesman Bill Fischer, who mentioned Landmark was courting a new potential buyer for the financially troubled hospital said Landmark had signed an asset purchase agreement with a new healthcare organization. "That's good news," he said, "That's not a step that anyone would take lightly."

Fisher would not name the company Landmark has signed its new deal with, but said it will be made public later today when the court documents are filed.
