Crack Dealer Nabbed In Woonsocket Police, DEA Probe Sentenced To 92 Months

Eddie Barr sold 48 grams of crack cocaine to undercover detectives.

A crack dealer who ran afoul of a joint DEA/Woonsocket Police investigation will serve more than seven years for selling to undercover WPD detectives.

Eddie Torie Barr, 36, of Woonsocket, arrested in October 2011 during an undercover investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Woonsocket Police into the distribution of crack cocaine in Woonsocket was sentenced today to 92 months in federal prison, announced United States Attorney Peter F. Neronha.

Neronha made the announcement with Kevin L. Lane, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the New England field division of the Drug Enforcement Administration; and Woonsocket Police Chief Thomas S. Carey.

U.S. District Court Judge John J. McConnell, Jr. also sentenced Barr to serve 3 years of supervised release upon completion of his prison term. Barr pleaded guilty on Jan. 27, 2012 to three counts of possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.

At the time of his guilty plea, Barr admitted that on three occasions, between Jan. 7 and Jan. 25, 2011, he sold crack cocaine in varying amounts to undercover Woonsocket Police detectives posing as drug traffickers. During that period of time, Barr sold more than 48 grams of crack cocaine to the detectives for a total of $2,480.

Hmm so he "will serve more than seven months for selling to undercover WPD detectives," and "was sentenced today to 92 months in federal prison"
Well 92 months is more than seven months, but I think you meant more than 7 years. I like you folks at Patch but you need to be more diligent in your editing.

I need to know if this was robs first mistake in life.If not, lets start a petition to patch and have him removed for ever writing another story.Better yet, lets burn the s.o.b. on the cross at the fire station.
