Join us just before 7:30 p.m. tonight, as we’ll have our first University of Rhode Island men’s basketball live chat of the year, following along as the Rams host Norfolk State in their season opener.
For the game preview from GoRhody, click here. A win from URI would help fans forget the last year under the helm of Jim Baron, who went out with a 7-24 overall record.
However, Rhody made what many considered to be the best coaching hire of the offseason, tapping Danny Hurley for the job. Although this is most likely a rebuilding year for the Rams, he will try to reach the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1999 during his initial three-year contract.
Want to talk about the game while it’s going on? Do so via our Cover It Live chat. There is also an iPhone app, in case you want to follow along from your seats at the Ryan Center.
Want to talk about the game before or after? Check out Keaney Blue, a URI fan forum.
Beyond the live chat, just like previous years, we will be recording the postgame press conferences. If you want to be e-mailed for future chats, press conference releases and URI basketball articles, click the “keep me posted!” button below.

Hi Dean - The games are televised locally, on the Cox cable system usually, and I believe the A-10 has a deal with one of the cable sports networks to air select games nationally.

And ugh, I forgot that this is a doubleheader, so the men's game actually tips at 7:30, not 7. Story has been updated to reflect that, folks.
